September Planting Calendar

Extend the season with summer starts

So what if it´s September and fall is almost here! Ready to start thinking about next spring? It´s not too early. There are a variety of seeds that can go into the ground now for a strong, vigorous show early next spring. It´s prime time for bulbs in most areas of the country and many seeds will winter over just fine. Some plants benefit by being transplanted and then being allowed to go dormant before taking off next spring. Besides, you can´t do it ALL in March and April!

Check the Zone Map and Frost Dates for your region.
